Canon EOS Rebel XSi Review

Before we continue, you must understand that digital SLRs are notoriously complex machines. It is very difficult to overcome DSLR, even after reading the manual many times. It is therefore very important to understand the concepts behind the photos (ie shutter speed, aperture, etc.) before getting a DSLR.

1 Review
Canon EOS Rebel XSi is a 12.2-megapixel DSLR and it is the fourth model in Canon's Digital Rebel class. Series Digital Rebel (which I reviewed earlier) have great quality DSLRs. I've yet to see many bad shots from the Digital Rebel (unless the photographer is not good). Among the new features Canon EOS Rebel XSI are image-stabilized kit lens, a larger LCD screen, Live View option, and a revamped control scheme / button layout.

2 Design and Construction
Like the Nikon D90, Canon EOS Rebel XSI is well built. XSI is all black in color and measures 3.8 x 5.1 x 2.4 inches (HWD) without lens. weight is incredibly light at only 475g (little more than a kilogram). When you take the camera out to take some pictures, you will notice that something is a bulky camera. However, this is not a problem if you have a good camera bag. I really like the bright display in XSI, which is far larger than previous models, at 3 inches and 230,000 pixels.

3 Optics and Resolution
Canon EOS Rebel XSi is a 12.2-megapixel resolution DSLR. When roaming in the night shots, I found that night shots were reasonably noise-free. Images were also brighter with improved color fidelity compared to my old Canon XTi. If you need to expand the Canon EOS Rebel XSI, then you probably need this kit with some good lenses.

4 User Controls
In terms of user controls, the Canon EOS Rebel XSI is a menu and buttons that display sensibly kept together. If you frequently access ISO button, you will find it has moved from the wheel at the top, near the On / Off switch. It's a small problem, however, since it might just end up switching ISO mode accidentally.

5 Battery life
Canon EOS Rebel XSI has a longer battery life than any previous Digital Rebels and lets you explore the camera for hours on end, without needing to recharge.

6 Bugs
Canon EOS Rebel XSI is a full featured DSLR with few drawbacks. If I had to pick one for you, it would be the fact that user controls can be a bit intimidating for a new DSLR enthusiasts. However, when you read the manual and get used to the controls, you'll be snapping photos with no problem.

Conclusion
I hope the above article gave some good insight into the Canon EOS Rebel XSI and main features. If you want to learn more about buying a Canon EOS Rebel XSI or other similar DSLRs, you should check online camera stores. Most digital cameras are sold at very reasonable prices and they ship their orders quickly.
